Polish and Care2019-06-13T14:44:22+10:30

A diamond is forever, but it’s imperative you treat your treasured item with love and care to ensure its brilliance doesn’t fade. All Diamond World stones are GIA certified, an assurance that they are of the highest quality; however, fine jewellery is like any precision item—it requires cleaning and maintenance to last a lifetime.

Diamond World has the most advanced professional cleaning equipment to properly care for your piece. Whether we’re carrying out major work, or simply cleaning and polishing, we can help maintain the beauty of your special piece.

Over time, claws on rings can lose their integrity and wear down—we will rebuild the claws on your treasured rings to ensure the gems are kept securely in place, giving you peace of mind every time you wear them.

While yearly maintenance in the Diamond World workshop is required for warranty, there are also a number of steps you can take at home to care for your diamond.

Insure your ring

Add a jewellery amendment to your homeowner’s or renter’s insurance, or take out a separate policy with a specialty insurer.

Avoid harsh chemicals

Remove your ring when cleaning or touching harsh chemicals and many household cleaners. Bleach and other cleaning agents can dull the finish of a ring and actually harm porous coloured gemstones like emeralds, and erode and dull metal settings.

Keep your diamond away from other jewels

Diamonds are the hardest substance on earth, which means that they can scratch other gemstones and metal bands (and even other diamonds) if left in the same jewellery pouch or box. Keep your jewellery in individual soft cloth pouches when you’re not wearing them.

Our highly conceptual jeweller will sit with you to create that perfect individual piece custom made just for you, from engagement and wedding rings, dress rings, earrings and pendants to bracelets and other jewellery such as brooches.

As trends change (and body sizes), what was beautiful twenty years ago, can require an update or remodelling. Our Master Craftsman understands the sentimental attachment to family heirlooms and the financial value of out of vogue styles.
